Irresistible Spicy Mango Habanero Margarita

This Mango Habanero Margarita brings the sweet and the heat! It’s bold, flavorful, and the perfect cocktail to sip on all summer long.

Earlier this summer, I went to a graduation party and had one of the best spicy margaritas I’ve ever tasted. So in true Ci fashion, I had to recreate it at home. I originally shared this cocktail in partnership with Cambio Tequila on Instagram, but you know I had to bring it to the blog fam too!

Why you’ll love this Mango Habanero Margarita?

  • Sweet meets heat – The juicy mango balances out the spicy kick from the habanero-infused tequila for a bold, refreshing cocktail that keeps you coming back for more.
  • Easy to customize – Want it milder? Swap habanero for jalapeño. Prefer it frozen? Blend it up with ice! It’s easy to make it your own.
  • Perfect for summer – Light, bright, and tropical, this margarita was made for BBQs, girls’ nights, and sunny afternoons.
  • Big flavor, minimal effort – With just a few ingredients and a simple infusion, you’ll get a drink that tastes like it came from your favorite cocktail bar.

What’s the Secret to the Best Spicy Margarita?

Infused tequila. This is the key to a spicy margarita that hits just right. And don’t worry—it’s super simple to do:

  1. Wash and slice your habanero (or jalapeño for a milder kick).
  2. Add it to a clean mason jar.
  3. Cover with your tequila of choice.
  4. Store it in a cool, dark place for at least 3 days. The longer it sits, the more flavor it infuses.

What you’ll need?

Here’s what you’ll need to make this Spicy Mango Habanero Margarita–

  • Tequila – I used Cambio Tequila Blanco for this recipe. Mezcal works if you want a smoky twist.
  • Habanero – Use jalapeño if you prefer less heat.
  • Mango nectar – Homemade or store-bought both work great.
  • Orange liqueur – I recommend Cointreau for that citrusy balance.
  • Simple syrup – Just equal parts sugar and water.
  • Fresh lime juice – Always go fresh when you can!

Do I have to use Habanero?

Nope! If you’re spice-sensitive or making this for a crowd, swap the habanero for jalapeño. You’ll still get the flavor and a little heat, just a bit more mellow.

What to pair this Mango Habanero Margarita with?

This Spicy Mango Habanero Margarita is vibrant and spicy, so it pairs beautifully with bold, summery dishes. Here are a few of my faves:
