Tender, bright, and flavorful Air fried asparagus. Asparagus is one of my favorite veggies! It doesn’t matter how it’s cooked. Roasted, grilled, baked, air fried, bacon-wrapped. The ways to enjoy it is limitless.

I was recently asked how I make my asparagus so I decided to make a blog post about it. With the air fryer being so popular did you know you can make it in the air fryer?
What you’ll need
here’s what you’ll need to make this easy and flavorful air fried asparagus.
- Asparagus spears: be sure to pick bright in color and study. Not soft to touch.
- olive oil: use a good quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I like using the one from Graza.
- garlic: minced. fresh or jarred works fine.
- Complete seasoning: one of my favorite all purpose seasonings.
- Lemon: optional, but I love to squeeze fresh lemon once the asparagus is cooked for a touch of citrus balance.

How to Make Air Fried Asparagus?
There are so many ways to enjoy asparagus—sautéed, roasted, grilled, or air fried. Today, I’m sharing my go-to air fryer method. It’s easy, delicious, and best of all, easy clean up!
Here’s how to make it!
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F and line the basket with parchment or foil for easy cleanup. Snap off the tough ends of the asparagus where they naturally break, then give them a quick wash and pat dry.
- Add the asparagus to the air fryer, drizzle with olive oil, and season with Complete seasoning, salt, and pepper. Toss until they’re well coated.
- Pop them in the air fryer for 4 minutes. Flip them, then add minced garlic, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- When they’re done, finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice for that bright, tangy kick. These are the perfect side to my Jerk Lamb Loin Chop Recipe and Creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes.
Tip: Add the garlic toward the end of cooking to keep it from burning.
How to pick the right asparagus?
- avoid asparagus that’s dull in color.
- choose asparagus that’s bright green and smooth
- If they have a hint of dark green or purple color that’s a sign of quality and freshness. If the tips are dried or yellow in color, it’s a sign that the asparagus is old.
