Pumpkin Spice Matcha Latte– a fun, fall twist for my matcha lovers. Imagine pumpkin syrup, warming spices, layered with the earthy flavor of matcha over ice. Then topped with the most delicious pumpkin spice cold foam. The perfect fall drink.

Now I’m not really a pumpkin girl, but I am a fall girlie so of course I had to bring a pumpkin spice latte to the blog for my pumpkin lovers.

Pumpkin Spice Matcha Latte Ingredients

  • Matcha Powder: ceremonial grade matcha.
  • Water: hot water not higher than 175 degrees.
  • Pumpkin Pie Syrup: See my recipe here.
  • Spices: pumpkin pie spice
  • Oat Milk: or your favorite milk of choice

Pumpkin Spice Matcha Latte

Equipment

  • matcha set

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tsp Matcha powder
  • 2-3 oz Hot water between 165°F & 175°F
  • 2 oz pumpkin pie syrup
  • 1/2 cup Oat milk of milk of choice
  • splash of brown sugar syrup optional

Pumpkin Pie Syrup

  • 1/3 cup pumpkin puree
  • 3/4 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • pinch of salt

Pumpkin Pie Cold Foam

  • 3 tbsp heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp milk or flavored creamer
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin puree or pumpkin syrup
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • orange food coloring optional

Instructions
 

For the Pumpkin syrup

  • In a saucepan, combine pumpkin puree, brown sugar, water, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice and a pinch of salt. Stir the mixture until the sugar dissolves and everything is well combined. Bring it to a boil over medium heat, Then reduce to the heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes or until the syrup has thickened.
  • Remove it from the heat and allow it to cool slightly before adding in the vanilla extract. Allow it to cool fully before transferring it to a clean jar or bottle and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

For the matcha

  • Soak matcha whisk about 5 minutes before making.
  • Sift matcha powder into a bowl then carefully pour over hot water. Whisk for about 1 minute until smooth and foamy.
  • In a glass add pumpkin pie syrup, ice, oat milk and brown sugar syrup if desired.
  • Carefully pour over the matcha.
  • In a bowl, combine heavy cream, milk, pumpkin puree, maple syrup and cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice. Froth until somewhat firm. Pour over top of the matcha then top with pumpkin pie spice. and enjoy!

Notes

Food coloring is absolutely optional. If you want a more pronounced color. If not it will have a light orange tint.
