Nothing says summer like a fresh, juicy watermelon. It’s quite literally the fruit of the season. This Frozen Watermelon Margarita is summer in a glass- cool, refreshing, sweet, and tart! It’s the perfect cocktail to sip on all summer long.

Ingredients for Frozen Watermelon Margarita
- Watermelon: frozen watermelon chunks.
- Tequila: I used Reposado for this recipe, feel free to use your favorite tequila.
- Mint: perfect for garnish.
- Simple Syrup: adds a touch of sweetness. If you don’t like your drinks too sweet or are using Sprite, you can opt out of the simple syrup.
- Lime Juice: I say it in all my cocktail and mocktail recipes. If it’s not fresh, I don’t want it. Seriously, fresh lime makes all the difference.
- Agave + Tajìn: to rim the glasses for serving.
- Orange Liqueur: Cointreau or Triple sec
Best Blender for Frozen Drinks?
I’ve had my share of blenders and so far my two favorites are the Ninja Auto iQ and the Nurtribullet. I have the compact smoothie blenders and can get about 2 servings using the large cup.

How To Make a Watermelon Margarita?
This frozen cocktail is super easy to make.
Step 1: The night before, be sure to freeze watermelon chunks or watermelon juice into cubes. When you’re ready to make the cocktail, start by rimming your glasses with agave and Tajín, then place them in the refrigerator until serving.
Step 2: Next, add frozen watermelon, tequila, Cointreau or triple sec, lime juice, and watermelon juice to a blender. Blend until smooth.
Step 3: Pour the mixture into the prepared glasses and garnish with fresh mint and a lime wheel, if desired.
Step 4: Enjoy this frosty, refreshing concoction!
